PRESTIGE: — Arman, how did Armenian letters originate?

Arman Revazyan: — I’m neither the first and nor the last one, who disproves academics’ opinion, that before Mesrop Mashtots the Armenian people had been deprived the pleasure of having their own alphabet. Today there are so many facts collected, that continuing to talk on that topic is senseless. Armenian alphabet, along with the list of numbers, existed much before Mashtots and continuing to deny that just means unwillingness to see the indubitable facts for some certain reasons. There is more than enough literature on that topic. Another issue is the difference between the approaches… Personally I’m convinced that pre-Christian Armenian alphabet is that, what we are used to call Aramaic alphabet… What is more, the Aramaic alphabet itself pointed out its belonging to the Armenian language. And besides, there is a strict system for constructing the sentences, which I call "the system of 32”, for the simple reason, that any contextual row consisted of four lines, with eight consonants in each. Without knowing that system that’s impossible to read any inscription, written by "Aramaic” alphabet, on the territory of Armenia.

P.: — At the stage of formation American English one illiterate American replaced the word "for” with the digital "4”, what brought up the trend of writing numerous names in abbreviated form. In ancient times, there weren’t general numbers 3, 6, 9; the numbers 5 and 10 were obtained only by multiplying; and Egyptians used characters for the figures…

A.R.: — That’s just a hypothesis.. At the lack of better the public perceived it as some kind of axiom. Though in fact the things are different. The Sumerian God of the Sun Utu is an Armenian "ut” (eight), his sister, the Goddess Innin is an Armenian "inn” (nine).In the chapter «God 8 and Goddess 9″ of the book «Makarats» I quote excerpts from the Sumerian epic, from which it is immediately evident, that the God Utu and the Goddess Innin were directly related to the Armenian numerals 8 and 9. Since ancient times, priests-mathematicians knew how to do magic tricks using the universality of the number 9,  which plunged into shock every plebeian, who could explain what he saw by nothing else but the hand of the God. To make it clear I will express that thought more specifically — the Armenian language is not just a language, but artificial and philosophical language of the priests (interpreters) of the Ancient World (Egypt, Hittite Empire, Hurrians, Babylon etc. etc.), which Homer called the language of the Gods, and which appeared not later then the 3rd millennium BC on the territory, contemporary to Sumerians, Aratta. Due to the Armenian language the priests of Egypt, for example, didn’t have to know the Hittite, since Hittite priests, like the Egyptians, knew Armenian. That’s through the Armenian language were called the Gods, the cities, mountains and terrains around the world (Sumerian An, Sin, Utu Innin, Hittite Arinitti, Egyptian Ra, etc.). Without going into details I’ll give just one example. It is known that the Egyptian writing is consonant, i.e. it’s recorded by  consonants only, so that in modern Egyptology there is the problem of correct pronunciation of the certain names. Thus, on behalf of the patron God of Lower Egypt we’ve got consonants — ST — and Egyptologists conventionally called the god Seth. From the patron God of Upper Egypt KhR are left, and again conventionally they referred to as Khor(us). Now we note that naming the first of them not Set, but Ast, and the second not Khor, but Kher, we find that when we unite Upper and Lower Egypt (and thus their patron Gods), we obtain the Armenian Astkher (Stars) … Is there any point to doubt on identity of the Egyptian Ra and Armenian Ara , the Egyptian Pharaon and Armenian Paron (Mr) …..?

P.: — Then what is the historical transformation of the Armenian language?

A.R.: — To the Armenian language the standard approach can’t be applied, and it’s wrong to treat it just as an Indo-European language .. Again, the Armenian language is artificial, the secret language of inter-priestly communication, which for thousands of years was not available for the mob and only to the 16th-15th centuries BC there were formed the conditions, at which the Armenian language from the hieratic (language of priests-bishops) gradually acquired the status of the demotic (national) language. These historical conditions are directly related to the rise of the state of Mitanni (from Armenian Mi Tun — One House) and State House of Torgom (from arm. Targman — Translator), mentioned in the Bible as the House of Togarmah. Risking to incur the danger of the fierce criticism, however I’ll express my opinion about Grabar (arm. medieval writing system), which is in fact nothing more than an attempt to obscure the very essence of the Armenian language .. Grabar from the very beginning was very different from the spoken Armenian. Modern Armenian language with its cases and other grammatical rules is  much closer to the language of our pagan ancestors than Grabar …

P.: — There is an opinion, according to which the country you mentioned, Aratta, was in Afghanistan, not in the territory of historical Armenia ..

A.R.: — This hypothesis isn’t worth a damn .. Indeed, in the Sumerian epic the country Aratta is mentioned as a supplier of lapis lazuli to Sumer, and as lapis lazuli, found in the jewelry of Sumer, could only come from Badakhshan in northern Afghanistan, they concluded that Aratta could be in Afghanistan .. There are many hypotheses, but what is surprising is the tenacity with which the authors of these various hypotheses don’t want to see the clear fact, that even in the fourth century BC the Greek scientist Theophrastus called lapis lazuli an Armenian stone. It’s clear that Theophrastus wouldn’t call it so, if Armenia hadn’t been the major supplier of this stone long before him. In the «Book of Stories» Arakel Davrizhetsi (17th century AC) describes in detail the properties of the stone, and Badakhshan lapis lazuli is praised.  He notes as well that Uzbeks delivered it Armenians, and that Armenians were processing lazuli and selling it around the world … Have we any reason to deny that the same scheme worked at the time of Aratta and Sumer?

P.: — What do you think, who was the forefather of the Armenians? Some people believe that Noah was an Armenian, and nearly 20 000 years ago, before Urartu, the ancient Armenian Republic existed. One British scientist believes that this republic existed at least 10 000 years ago.

R.A.:-I have heard many such hypotheses. It’s meaningless and not grateful to refute or confirm them. I will take as the base only what I know for sure. If we continue the subject of Aratta, we will find the answer to your question about the forefather of the Armenians. Please note that in the same Sumerian epics Aratta called «the land of incense cedar», if we make a correct translation of that epithet into Armenian, we get «Anush Mairi Yerkir» that is, the emphasis of the meaning shifts to produce a «The Land of the Mother Anush», and according to the Armenian tradition the Mother Anoush is the Mother of the Serpents. In its turn, Sumerians called the God of Wisdom and Literacy Haya and depicted him as a snake. Armenian self-desigantion name "Hay” derives from the very same wise Snake God.

As for Noah, as the ancestor of the Armenians, it should be noted that in the Babylonian version of the myth about the Flood the name Utnapashtum is pointed out, which some scholars for unclear reasons stubbornly try to present as Utnapishtim. The name Utnapashtum derives from that same Armenian 8 (ut) and «pasht» (eng. worship, venerate) and can be understood in two ways: either «Eight-venerated», or «Worshiping Utu» .. According to the same version the God, who warned Utnapashtum about impending danger, was already known to us Serpent God Haya … Draw the conclusions on your own…

P.:-There is a hypothesis that in the Hellenistic period the columns of the temples, such as our Garni Temple, were erected in the form of the snake heads …

A.R.: — Yes, but it’s wrong to attribute it to the Hellenistic period. This phenomenon belongs to a much earlier period. Manuk Abegyan said that the Armenians considered snakes as their ancestors. It was also mentioned that on the flag of the royal dynasty Yervanduni the Snake was depicted. Armenians with word «kapa» called not only their own clothes, but at the same time snakeskin .. What we read at Khorenatsi regarding the Snake Azhdahak is a blatant falsification. I have devoted to it  a chapter in my book .. But Khorenatsi had compelling reasons to do so. And Blavatskaya wasn’t wrong saying that the serpent has always been a symbol of the Adept (Initiated Priest). Originally Snake and Cedar were totemic symbols of Aratta, like for Sumerians of the city Ur the totemic symbols were Dog and Willow (arm. Uri, Ureni) .. Being two branches of a single civilization Sumerians and people of Aratta had a lot in common (in particular the Armenian language). It was from their union that the syncretic image of dog-headed snakes derived. And we can find them on the walls of the Echmiadzin Cathedral even now. Later, when as a result of infighting that union was destroyed, in the Armenian language to the word «otar» (foreign) appeared the synonym «urishner» descended from the phrase «Uri Shner» (Dogs of Ur).

P.:-If, as you claim, the Bible contains cryptography in the Armenian language, what is the message of that book?

A.R.: — To clarify, we are not talking about all the texts of the Bible, only the Book of Genesis contains a secret code.  Unfortunately I can’t talk about the complete contents of the  cryptographic texts. I completely deciphered only the first 4 chunks of the first chapter, and a few scattered fragments of the second chapter, found at least three keys to cryptography, and found the themes of cryptography in about a dozen groups consisting of 10-15 pieces. Most of them describe the various technological processes and one of them is the historical description of an event .. I assure you it is not an easy work, and the life of one man is not enough to decrypt all of the texts. The presence of these keys, providing the teamwork, is enough to translate a couple or three chapters. As for the already translated first four fragments, the text translated in Russian was roughly speaking the following: — The first one from the sinful or sinless will be chosen to trumpet the meeting.  Igniting the torch from the silver furnaces, I’ll give him the rescue fire, so that he kindles the comet [pigtailed stone] radiant from the silver torch of the Savior.

P.:- What is the background of your discovery?

A.R.: — I paid attention to the fragment of Genesis about the creation of woman from the man’s rib. And it turned out that the shift in the semantic emphasis of the Armenian word «Kogh», which in one case means «rib», and in another — «close, next to, near», allow to interpret differently the given piece of the text. After all, it is possible that the authors had in mind the creation of woman not from the man’s rib, but rather next to a man. It was to find out, if in the text there are similar examples to this one, when the true meaning of the fragment could be elucidated via Armenian language. It turned out that they are in abundance there. But the main thing is the letter — E. In the Armenian tradition, the letter E has always been a symbol of God the Father, and it can even now be found on the Armenian   icons …

P.: — But isn’t "E” just an acronym of the word Ech — Echmiadzin. In Echmiadzin there is a golden fresco, on which three large letters are depicted, and "E” is one of them denoting the essence.

A.R.: — Basically you answered your question. "E” is really the essence, and the essence is the same God. Let’s note that in the original Genesis, the name of God isn’t mentioned. This phenomenon at all times raised questions, and along with them the misinterpretations. As a result, it was decided to put the word "God” where it is implied. Now let us ask the same question — Why in the original the name of God was missing? If you try to find the answer using the Armenian language, you will quickly discover what the idea was about .. The point is that in the Armenian language the letter E in addition to its symbolic significance — God, also plays the role of an auxiliary verb — Aprum E (liveS), Gnum E (goES). Now imagine that the actual original was written in the Armenian language, and the interpreter in Hebrew, knowing Armenian, didn’t  understand much the Armenian symbolism. Only in this case he detects "E” only as an auxiliary verb and translates the text without specifying the name of God: «In the beginning created the Heaven and the Earth.» Now we know that the name of God was present in the original text as E and the phrase sounded as following: «Arach anum E Yerkin u Getin ..», namely «Arach anum E» (At the beginning God createS ..), and it’s remarkable that fused pronunciation of the phrase «Arachanum E» reproduces the verb «EmergeS».


P.: — The evidence suggests that the Christian churches were built on the places of the pagan temples. Do you think that Christianity is a religion of aggression? And why Armenia was the first to adopt Christianity, while in Rome it was allowed only in 316 AC?

AR: — That’s the way how Man is, if he got it into his mind to build something new, the first thing he does is the destruction of the old .. Often he ends up without a roof over the head. Christians destroyed pagan temples, then the communists destroyed the Christian churches, and they both did all this not out of malice, but only for the sake of building a bright future, to note, a bright future in a global scale .. Generally there are no aggressive religions, there are people who wrongly perceive, quick in making decisions and mentally retarded. Today there is a stiff opinion that any mention of early Christianity events cast aspersions on our church. The regiments of intruders and free defenders of church frowning faces in anticipation. Meanwhile, the church does not need anyone’s protection. For 1700 years there have been a lot of strange, unusual, unfair, wrong and terrible things. But eventually the Christian church became a stronghold of  our state, and now there is no reason to hide its past and as earlier to suggest that prior to the adoption of Christianity  Armenia was «brutish and breezy country.» Pagan period of our history is an integral part of us and we should be free to study it, without having to think how-to bypass the rough edges and not to offend the church .. Otherwise we will not know what we want to know, when there is a lot we should know. If it wasn’t so, the world Christianity wouldn’t rush to erase thoroughly from the memory of the Armenians their pagan past. The very fact, that in Armenia there was something special, is the answer to your question about why Armenia was the first to adopt Christianity.

P.: — And the last question: what is the history?

A.R.: — For me the history is an exact science, and it’s a pity when someone perceives it as an ideological tool.
